Hi all,

I am using Siri in German (Deutsch), therefore using English words is not that perfect (working/recognizing).

Is there any possibility to implement some accessory/services in the config.json of homebridge to be able to use their own names, please ?

As a short-term solution, to e.g. change „Playing State“ to e.g. „Musik“ … do I have only to change the names in the file: /usr/local/lib/node_modules/homebridge-itunes/index.js ?

Any recommendation is very welcome !!

Hi, sorry, I've been working other projects and am just coming back to this one now.

You may have already figured it out, but your quickest fix will be to rename the devices themselves after you pair the accessory with HomeKit. Either in the Home app or Eve or whatever, you can go to the settings of "Playing State" and change its name, for example, to "Musik".

Note that it may be tricky to select a name that doesn't conflict with anything else. Your phone may start playing it's own "Musik" if you tell Siri to "Mach die Musik an".
