It can give a count of cores as well, but the physical monitor is very useful when a chip stops working as that can then potentially be blacklisted.
Listing the "unusual" down cores would be good, but also would likely need a read of the blacklist, which is non-trivial I believe (it would require looking at SCAMP to see where this is stored, and possibly making this available somewhere for reading if not already)
For each chip t gives (x, y, P: 10) is the phyisical core of the monitor useful. Would n_cores not bet better
Should it list all Downs or just the unusual ones? (is that easy???)
