By the completion of the project, we expect to see:
1) Fully characterized skin-related disease outcomes in at least 3,000 elderly Chinese Han individuals from the Taizhou cohort; observable ethnic differences of skin-related outcomes between Caucasian and Chinese populations.
2) Associations of air pollution exposure and skin-related outcomes in this elderly Chinese population.
3) Individuals carrying difference genetic variants showing different levels of association between air pollution exposure and skin-related outcomes.
4) The role of systemic inflammation in associations between air pollution exposure and skin-related outcomes.
