"Your device lost its internet connection" infinite loop #277

Open intothemoat opened 7 years ago

intothemoat commented 7 years ago

I'm connected to the internet, but I can't get encryptr to see that I am.

I've tried rebooting, unplugging and reconnecting the wifi adapter and still no luck.

All I get now is an infinite loop of encryptr trying to reconnect and failing to do so. Despite the fact I'm connected. Any advice on how to resolve this error would be great! Thank you.

devgeeks commented 7 years ago

That's strange. The Encryptr servers all appear to be up, etc.

You might want to contact SpiderOak support as they might be able to help. The issue tracker here is more for bugs or enhancements...

intothemoat commented 7 years ago

Ok, I'll definitely contact SpiderOak Support. On that topic though, is their website down? I tried googling it earlier this am and the web address could not be found. Getting the same result now this pm. Or did the address move? Thanks for your help! I really love Encryptr :)!

I'm having the same problem: I am connected to the internet and can browse sites, but Encryptr keeps telling me, "your device has lost its internet connection." The site listed above, https://spideroak.com/support/encryptr, gives me a "server not found" error message.

I've been using Encryptr for a couple of weeks and hate to give it up because it's not reliably available.

dantestopp commented 7 years ago

I'm having the exact same problem as @aedoue 😕

Casidhe commented 7 years ago

Same here. When I couldn't get onto the support site as well, I just presumed they are down for some reason.

ldhieu commented 6 years ago

Having the same problem - is the service down?

enfrte commented 6 years ago

@ldhieu Yes, me too. Across all devices.

devgeeks commented 6 years ago

:/

Same. It seems the TLS certificate for the server has expired.

I have sent an issue to support. They might not realise as it is not the 15th of August in the US yet...

Good job, @devgeeks

lebedov commented 6 years ago

Problem seems to have resolved as of the present.

enfrte commented 6 years ago

Yep, it works for me now.

Did anyone find any solutions to this problem? I contacted support. But I'm back on my original thread with the same issue. Not sure how I resolved this 4 years ago XD XD. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

I'm also unable to login into my encryptr account. It was working fine a few hours ago. Could this be the same issue that sprung up the last time?

Adding the following line to my hosts file fixed the issue: 45.55.244.23 encryptrservice.crypton.io
