"Error: Account already in use" persists

To reproduce:

1. Login to game normally
2. Kill the client without exiting properly
3. You're now unable to log back in, you just get the message "Error: Account 
already in use."

The problem:
Not sure if this ever resolves, but I left it for ~5 mins, and I still couldn't 
log in. 

Suggested solution?
Make it so it just boots the old user out, or boots them out if they don't 
respond to a ping / appear to be idle?

Urgh, sorry I submitted this a crapton of times >.< Kept getting a google error 
page saying it failed to submit... apparently it didn't D:
