This causes issues when faking the GPS, as the map continues to centre on the actual GPS coordinates.

Proposed Solution:

Remove "locate" call from map.js
Have SPGPS watch the GPS, and fire the 'gpsupdate' event as appropriate.
Have the mapView listen to the gpsupdate event and have it update its centre accordingly.
