failed to reconfigure pool

tried to set a different pool user name. pushed submit, acknowledgfement said conf changed, but failed to restart mine.

• restarted miner from gui this didnt do much, miner didnt report different uptime, and didn't change the reported pool user.
• went to console, restarted miner using "spond-manager restart" then web gui lost connection with miner. then rebooted the miner box.
