Placing blocks while opening GUI block (chest / furnace)

I am currently running

SpongeVanilla version: 1.12.2-7.1.6-RC155
Java version: 1.8.0_192 (quay.io/pterodactyl/core:java-glibc)
Operating System: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (server operates in Docker container)
Plugins: Minecraft, Mod Coder Pack, SpongeAPI, Sponge, FastAsyncWorldEdit, LuckPerms, Nucleus, SpongeVanilla, ViaVersion, WorldEdit

Issue Description If I hold an item, take cobblestone as an example and I right click a chest (to open it) the block is placed on the chest (the side where I look). This is very annoying because If I look on top of the chest I can't open it afterwards anymore as there is a block that has been placed on it.

Note I did not test this without any plugins.

Gone ahead and removed all my server plugins. The issue still persists!
