This way of communication was introduced for everything ROM-related that doesn't belong to any specific XDA topic. Also, more importantly, this is a way to share test builds, and for announcements about new ROMs or kernels, so you can keep track of all the latest and greatest for our device.
The reason why we're posting this on GitHub and not XDA, is because it would become way too off-topic. We've also considered creating a Telegram channel, but other people wouldn't be able to comment on anything or share experiences.
Please note that this is not just for spookcity's ROMs or creations, but if you've made your own ROMs, creations or suggestions, feel free to leave them at this repository!
Explanation/How-to
I'm not a GitHub expert, but I do know a few things.
Every topic has its own GitHub issue (eventually). This is not the way GitHub is meant to be, but it works!
When you watch this repository, you'll get email notifications when new issues are created and new comments are posted. Make sure to do that so you'll never miss an announcement.
In those emails, there's a link that says "Mute this thread". When you don't want to get more emails on that specific topic, just click that link and you'll only get emails on the topics you're interested in! Or, more specific: you won't get updates on topics you're not interested in!
When you have made a new announcement (a release), please post full details and changelogs in the separate topic (a GH issue) for your ROM* so that bug reports can be sent there so the Announcements topic won't get too cluttered.
*=You should make a new issue for every ROM, like Slim6, BeanStalk, Slim7, XOSP, unless there already is an issue for that ROM! What you should not do, is create issues for every single build, like "Slim6-20170401".
If there are subjects that don't have issues yet, you can create them by yourself without hesitation! (If you did anything wrong we'll just tell you afterwards)
