Currently there doesn't seem to be any way of moving the caret more easily and precisely than the native iOS hold and drag gestures allow, which is kind of inconvenient for coding. I therefore propose adding any number of the following:
A Pythonista-style pan gesture on the extra keyboard row to move the caret continuosly forward and backward
An extra arrow pad as in Textastic
A swipe gesture on the text field to move the caret forwards and backwards stepwise (helps with parens etc)
My personal preferences are reflected in the above list's order, but any of them would be very welcome.
