can't initiate connection on t-mobile pulse #253

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Open connectbot
2.enter user@hostname into textbox
3.virtual keyboard has no "done" key to press

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
some connect button is missing. Friend's HTC magic shows 'done' key at 
bottom-right, my 
pulse has a big '@' key instead.

What version of the product are you using (you can see this by using Menu
-> About in the Host List)?
1.6.1, r464

What type of system are you trying to connect to?
Any

If you are able to connect, what is the output of "echo $TERM", "uname -a",
and any other relevant information on the host?

i narrowed the problem down to the alternative (non android) virtual keyboard 
that is
used by default on T-mobile pulse - touchpal (http://www.cootek.com/ )

workaround is to switch to the default android keyboard by long-pressing the 
text box
and switching input method to Android keyboard.
