This is my first set of iterations for this assignment. I chose to look at the lyrics of the songs and categorise the words as different parts of speech in the English grammar. The conditions were: 1)The most repeated words would be the biggest size: 56px and other words would, subsequently, be small in size. 2)Priority of size is from most repeated to least repeated. 3) Similarly, the colours of the words change in a gradient with the most repeated being the darkest shade and the least repeated being the lightest. 4) All words will be written in a sans serif typeface, example: Helvetica and special words like nouns that play the role of adjectives and words with apostrophes attached to them will be written in a serif typeface like Baskerville Old Face. 5) Any names will be written in uppercase letters.
Upon seeing the result, I added another condition: the visualisation should fit in an A3 size sheet. For the purpose of this assignment, I have only categorised the words as Nouns, Pronouns and Verbs. The images are also in this order Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds- Nouns: Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds- Pronouns: Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds- Verbs: Hotline Bling-Nouns: Hotline Bling-Pronouns: Hotline Bling-Verbs:
This si the 2nd iteration I have done for this assignment. This time, I categorised all the words in the lyrics of both songs as different parts of speech and then made icons to represent them in a CMYK colour set. The following is the key/ legend for the visualisation.

Documentation and the work.
These are my visualizations of the bass-line for the riffs of both the songs. This representation is inspired by the fret-board of a standard 4 string bass guitar.
The rules:
The notes in the bass-line of the songs are placed on the position of the imaginary fret-board where that particular note will be. Every time the riff repeats; the colour of the translucent circle will change. If there are any repetition of notes on the same verse then the notes will be placed over the other one with a slight change in their position. If an open note is played in a verse then a curved line is placed on the position of the string.
Colour scheme of the circles depends on the feeling of the song, the colours have been kept the same here for comparison.
This is my 3rd iteration just to experiment with a different visualisation. It's similar to my 1st and only considers Nouns, Pronouns and Verbs that were in both the songs.
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds - The Beatles:
Hotline Bling - Drake
This assignment follows the previous one and continues the same line of inquiry. With the data-set we have agreed upon (Two songs - Beatles - Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Drake - Hotline Bling) apply the same process from assignment 1 to create rules for visualizing the data in an abstract form.
