Linux 所有 hevc 视频无法硬解 #4

测试页的视频都可以软解播放,但是 CPU 占用很高,decoder 占用始终为 0。 测试过使用如下参数:--use-gl=desktop --enable-features=VaapiVideoDecoder --disable-features=UseChromeOSDirectVideoDecoder 加和不加都不能硬解。 显卡:NVIDIA 1660s 系统:Arch Linux 最新 kernel 5.17.7 驱动:nvidia 510.68.02-3 libva-vdpau-driver-vp9-git r57.509d3b2-4

可以打开chrome://gpu 看下是否有hevc main 和hevc main10字段存在。

已经根据 https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/chromium#Hardware_video_acceleration 开启了硬解,实测使用 https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/chromium/ 在 x11 下加上上述 flags 可以硬解 h264 和 vp9。

到crbug.com提个issue吧,因为我手头没有linux机器,也没有参与linux硬解开发,所以这块可能帮不上你了(我参与的是windows和mac版本),目前只能保证的是:编译的版本是包含linux硬解能力的。

代码实现了,和chromeos公用的vaapi,但是功能还没启用(主要原因是我没有linux设备,chrome的朋友也没搞),具体啥时候会启用会在这个repo同步。

@skbeh 今天用GTX1650S装了下Linux,然后发现这个问题本质上是 libva-vdpau-driver-vp9-git r57.509d3b2-4 压根不支持HEVC导致的,你输入下vainfo命令能打印出来hevc吗? VDPAU官方并不维护VAAPI Backend,所以这个库也是网友自己搞的,支持的不好太正常了。

说实话 开发体验很差 懒得折腾了 过两天借个英特尔的本子试试 nvidia真是折腾不起 我很怀疑这东西搞出来也没人会用🤦‍♀️

vaapi的实现本来就有,chromeos的硬解走的就是vaapi,所以感兴趣你可以自己照着readme编译一下,理论上编译完了就可和h264一样可硬解,但是我这之前一直搞不成功🙃,因为我用N卡开发,后来借了个intel的本测试,chrome://gpu 页面可以显示hevc,但是h264啥的依然不能硬解,hevc也不可以,可能是我哪操作不对,你喜欢折腾可以试试。

据我所知VaapiVideoDecoder和ozone不兼容, ChromeOSDirectVideoDecoder兼容ozone, 但是必须启用vulkan渲染, 但是相关的逻辑可能只在chromeOS上跑通了, Linux上还是全都是bug.

再次查找了一下,发现在 Linux 使用 VaapiVideoDecoder 需要 Vulkan > 21.1.5https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1236697#c10

而我的 Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 不支持 Vulkan,那么还有一种方法是关闭特性 --disable-features=UseChromeOSDirectVideoDecoder,这样我的 Google Chrome 支持硬解视频流了,但是仍然没有 HEVC。
