This is for the non-ion-pairing HPLC (i.e. the standard one).

Message to Agilent:

  1. We have a THIRD LC stack, just installed in June, that has another G7167B autosampler, distinct from the other two. It developed a leaky needle seat yesterday. Since the instrument is so new and is still under warranty, can Agilent replace the needle seat (or send me a replacement part) as part of our warranty coverage? It's a bit disappointing that (1) such a new instrument is already developing problems, and (2) that for some reason all three of our Agilent autosamplers are developing issues at the same time. This autosampler has serial number DEBAS01520. The needle seat we need, according to FSE Sheldon L., is apparently G4267-87012.

  2. Separately, before Sheldon fixed our issue with the DEBAS00532 autsampler, I mistakenly purchased the wrong needle assembly and needle seat for our autosampler. Is there a way to exchange these with the correct one? The Agilent order number is 0307929580, and I am hoping to exchange the two copies of G7129-87012 that I ordered with two copies of G4267-87012.

Agilent replaced our needle and needle seat. The FSE also advised us to make sure the waste line for draining needle wash etc. is not clogged.

I tentatively declare the leaky needle seat repaired.
