Now that I'm transitioning over to using cases, which have the nice feature of streamlining randomization, I should restore the ability to completely randomizing the ordering of individuals and groups. There's no reason to enforce G/I/G/I or I/G/I/G.
The major possible roadblock I see for this is that I need to be very careful about the manipulation check, which posed tons of problems for me last time.
I'm gonna take a whack at this and see if this is something we can transition to, but we can always fall back on alternating if this fails.
