Mission Planner - (re)Launch Telemetry Log Path Handling Issue #661

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Mission Planner
2. Move or place a unique log file in a path other than the normal Mission
Planner log file location (for my purposes, the log file was on a "network"
drive shared to Windows 7 running under Parallels, but it does not matter where
the log file is, so long as it is not in the default location.)
3. Playback the log some
4. Close Mission Planner
5. Open Mission Planner
6. The cmd window will display an error similar to the following:

log4net:WARN Cannot RollFile [C:\Program Files (x86)\APM Planner\ArdupilotPlanne
r.log.1] -> [C:\Program Files (x86)\APM Planner\ArdupilotPlanner.log.2012-06-10.
1]. Source does not exist
log4net:WARN Cannot RollFile [C:\Program Files (x86)\APM Planner\ArdupilotPlanne
r.log.2] -> [C:\Program Files (x86)\APM Planner\ArdupilotPlanner.log.2012-06-10.
2]. Source does not exist
INFO Program - ******************* Logging Configured *******************
INFO Program - Max Threads: 250
INFO ArdupilotMega.Utilities.Speech - TTS: init, mono = False

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Mission Planner attempts to load a previously loaded log file, however, if that
file is not in the default log path, it will not be found, and will generate a
warning in the cmd window prior to displaying the UI.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
MP 1.1.92 mav 1.0 32 & 64 Bit

Please provide any additional information below.
This is very minor issue. As a user, I am not concerned that the log file is
not loaded. The warning suggests there was an intent to load the file, which I
noticed and am reporting a difference between apparent intent and execution.

If there was an option in submitting this issue to set the priority to low or
below low, I missed it.

the logs its failing to roll are just planner debug logs, not telemetry logs.
is that what you meant?

opps. Yes, you're right of course. Please close this ticket. This is a bad
