A2Billing is a telecom switch and billing system capable of providing and billing a range of telecom products and services to customers such as calling card products, residential and wholesale VoIP termination, DID resale and callback services.
In a2billing.conf it would be nice to be able to set a dial string, or multiple ones, to be used for outbound calls in case of a database failure. Basically just bypass any authentication and send the call out a given SIP trunk or switch.
Haven't looked at the feasibility of this idea yet, but it's something I'm thinking about after we lost a database server today. For our use of A2Billing, having the call go through successfully is much more important than billing for it.
