the first bar being able to be touched by the player feels like an oversight.
Even though the grid cannot supply the power I am asking of it, I can still give myself huge amounts of what are effectively overshields. Its like running a high power use weapon grid, I may have a large shield number but cant regen them like a fission setup would. But I am 1/2 to 1/3rd the cost of a pure fission setup. And once ive lost half my shields I can rebalance my fusion setup to actually provide sustainable power.
I would remove the players ability to touch the two bars on the fusion reactor and have them be auto-managed by the system, because this is the heart of the issue. Once the cheese is removed fusion power to BP can be buffed, but right now you can lie to the shield controller with fusion and get stupid advantages.
image of grid now that shields are filled up. 4x1s placed just for density with shield calculations, its at 0.68 density so technically I can go higher.
