How do you even use this? #43

I don't see any exe in this, and I cant tell what is supposed to be run. The "Getting Started" file seems to assume you already have it running.

Trying to use Silver Monkey, I just downloaded everything here.

Please allow me to specify, Whats the downloaded file name? there's a Debug and release MSI Installers as well as Debug and Release Rar Arhives, The later being available for folks not whishing to use the Micro$soft installer.

I dont know what you mean, under the Code tag here there is just a long list of files, I just clicked the Clone or Download button and chose to download as a zip.

Sounds like you downloaded the Source Code and therefore need Microsoft Visual Studio 2018 to compile the package, I reconmend Downloading one of the files from the Releases page.

I finally found that, but I dont think its working right as nothing happens when I click New Bot or anything else. The Monkey Speak editor will pop up, but nothing else happens.

I downloaded SilverMonkey_Setup_Release-v3.0.84.613-Beta.msi by the way.

@robgw84 if you have any issues with the Monkeyspeak Editor, don't annoy @Gerolkae with it lol. Not saying you are, just a good FYI. I manage that project over at https://github.com/captkirk88/monkeyspeak/releases

@captkirk88 Nah its not the Monkeyspeak Editor, I meant that is the only button on the SilverMonkey program that does anything. In the File menu Open will bring up an open dialog window, but as there is no existing bots there is nothing to open.

You have to create one, if you ever use any program that you are not familiar with it is always a good idea to go through the menus and see what you can do. If you want specific instructions I'm sure @Gerolkae could explain it better on the process from start to finish.

I just said that nothing works, INCLUDING the New Bot option. I cant make a bot if the New Bot option does nothing.

Ah yes you did. My mistake, that is strange. I would revert to a prior version and see if that one works then post the version that did work versus the latest one so that @Gerolkae can figure out what he changed to cause that kind of issue.

Correction, Monkeyspeak Editor and DataMonkey will both open up from the menus, but no other menu option does anything other than the Open option which as mentioned is useless without previously created bots. Not even the Exit option works.

It's been so long sine I worked on this project. I didn't realize I had not created the New Bot and Bot settings Windows to manage the bot configuration yet.

I'll see what I can do on this and get a release when I can.

Ah ok, figured it was something like that since there wasnt even an error. It was just like when I was making a interface for a program and hadnt actually coded the buttons yet.

@robgw84 If you install an earlier version, you can get the base bot file. I've requested an update to the README to explain this, since the question comes up regularly in Furcadia discord servers. It doesn't seem like the code will be updated, but this workaround has worked for others.
