Some homebrew species from sources like the Complete Species Guide have species where they start the game with 2 ranks in a talent rather than one. For example the Gen'Dai starts with 2 ranks of Durable.
As of right now, while we can add talents, it only adds the talent and doesn't allow for stacking of multiple ranks.
While this is an edge case it would allow functionality for any potential custom homebrew species people have.
I considered simply making a second talent with 2 ranks rather than one, but it would be clunky as then there would be two talents called 'Durable' in the compendium, one that gives 1 rank and another that gives 2 and renaming it something like "Gen'Dai Durable" would mean it becomes two different talents in the drop down, meaning players who then buy ranks in durable may get confused how much they reduce criticals by.
