Adding lighter solid background to the nav bar #78

What if to add a background color to the nav bar, so it'll become more pronounced when scrolling down? We can make the logo a part of the nav as it is usually done on websites. Adding labels to the icons can simplify the navigation even further. Also, the lighter blue or beige color of the bar will add more contrast to the logo and the icons, making it easier for the visitor to distinguish that area.

I like it. This is for desktop view, correct? Mobile will stay the same?

I imagine the mobile version like this. But it's just a sketch — ugly because the layouts and margins need to be fixed.

<3's it!

Is making a nav bar solid can be a quick win? It has 50% transparency, so the user doesn't see the nav properly when scrolling the products, and doesn't see the products properly as well.

Here, I just unchecked the background.

It's a nice ask. When I first created this a year ago there was nothing under there and it was a total bleed between HUD and whatever was under it. It was the first piece of feedback I got was to put a background. :)

It may be more obvious in mobile, but the transparency helps make it seem like it has more room. I am OK with bumping it to to 85% (or 90%) rather than 75%? :)

Well, idealistically, there has to be a nav bar for the whole width of the screen. It's a typical practice.

For desktop, we should have a search bar you are saying? :)

There can be just empty space for now. We haven't decided on the tags as I recall.
