could you elaborate how Tis3D support should even work?

After reading up the Wiki article about TIS-100 it looks like a separate mod/addon would make sense where the Widgets are Nodes with some inputs for data?!

My idea is to have it behave like bundled wires. So you place and bind to a module on casing then you can send commands to it. A simple protocol would need to be designed like: operation arg0 arg1 arg2 arg3.
