Would there be a way to set up something like the shipping bin with a big inventory space (similar to a chest) where you could deposit unwanted items, weapons, gems or food if you want and an NPC could take an item at random, giving you a small amount of friendship? You could possibly have a letter in the mail with a thank you as well to show which NPC took something. I play with sdv expanded and a lot of the interactions with NPCs are quite wholesome, I like being able to give people gifts in game and think it's a great system but find myself forgetting or just not bothering.
My general idea would be that each NPC has a list of items they (their liked or loved gifts) which if left in this storage unit they would be able to come and collect a gift at random, resulting in you gaining 3/4 of the friendship that you would earn by manually gifting it depending on if it's loved or liked.
