The idea is to have something that can turn your money in to 'furniture' that can be placed in the world. There is not much use for money, especialy after second year. You usualy end up with more than you need and there is nothing to do with it. So, why not stack pile it, like dragons in fantasy novels do? Or just shove in to stuff?
Again, i want to stress out that i know little to nothing about coding and limitations that modding part of this game has. Sorry if anything here makes no sence.
The goldifying can be introduced in different ways:
literally piles of gold(maybe with an ability to walk through them so you could, potentialy, fill your basement and go full Scrooge Mcduck on it);
craft it in to stuff. Like golden cutlery, kettels, any existing furniture items recolored in to golden color;
a statue. Of Evelyn. Coz she is super wholesome and cool. And she always bring you snacks. She also gifts you gardening pot which is the best thing in the game. She has a heart of gold and is a real mvp.
upgrades for various things, like, for example:
shipping bin, goldplated shipping bin;
golden tractor skin for tractor mod;
upgradable grandpa shrine, with tiered upgrades(through Robin or Clint or both);
golden clock, with tiered upgrades that will make it even more golden than it is already.(maybe making it higher and thicker with each upgrade) Last tier can(instead of keeping any placed fences from decaying) straight up goldplate your fence as you throw additional money in to it. So, like, 1 piece of fence per 5000 gold in item form that you would have to place in to it;
ability to goldplate your iridium tools, so they would look shiny and all(and maybe get stat boosts);
new, 'infinetly'(if possible) upgradable building that Robin can build for you. It could be just a mountain of money that will grow as you upgrade it. Or it may look like a totem that you can request from a wizard(teleporting ones), that will grow higher and higher as you upgrade it.
As for a way to do that:
Your own personal goldplating forge to craft items in;
Send stuff for goldplating via mail and recive it back after a while;
There is a safe room in community center. It could be used as a shop area to exchange money in to actual phisical coins and all;
Clint can goldplate stuff for you, he is a blacksmith. It could be a bonus service for him;
I dont know if this is appropriate but, in one of the books in the library Yoba(who is the Stardew Valley God) was depicted as an '_endless GOLDEN light_' which created everything. Yoba basicaly made a seed and than turned their golden light in to a soil for it, so seed could grow and give birth to this world. So, maybe we could use a golden Yoba altar in Pierre shop to plate stuff with gold? You throw a furniture and alot of money in to it and its just happens. In the end you get golden variant of a thing you puted in and Yoba gets a cut which they, one day, maybe, could use to try and create another world.
As an additional stuff that could be done with it:
a way to uncraft it back in to useble money;
it could be used as a way to store money as an object, for later use;
very pricy, blessed by 'endless golden light' holy ammunition of ultimate demonic perish, that will explode in to fragments on impact, do mad aoe damage and purge evil like its no tomorrow. For a slingshot;
mechanic that will look through your map and search for every goldplated item or pile of gold that you have placed and assign points for them? Each pile of gold is 1 point, each goldplated chair that you have - 2 and so on? In the end you get a score, for bragging rights. It could be timed thing as well, like grandpa evaluation. If you beat high score Yoba could reward you with another statue of perfection or something equaly cool.
ability to donate golden stuff to Yoba via altar, for good will and bonus points. Or to trigger different events, like rain or get an army of fairies on your farm to bless everything.
There is a witch that turns your animals in to void form so, maybe Yoba can bless them and turn your chickens or ducks in to golden ones instead?
It may be a bit silly thing to suggest in general but, i thing it would be cool to have something like that. Feel free to add something to it if you want. Thank you.
