More Festivals

Well, I finished my first year today and I absolutely loved the game, tho I think there was missing something. I realized the issue is that there is no New Years celebration in the game. It would be the perfect way to finish the year and make it complete! Also thinking back to Harvest Moon: Back to Nature (that had a ton of festivals) it would be absolutely nice to have some other festivals (minigames) like:

• A Animal Festival (A festival which scores your love of your animals)
• Dog Race
• A Horse Race
• Chicken Fight
• A swimming event maybe at the beach? (also add more Summer decorations such as umbrellas and beach towels and tourist watching, maybe even special npcs that only appear during that time?)
• The Near Years festival (i mentioned above), maybe with a party at the saloon and later a firework display at the beach
• maybe a cooking festival, just like in harvest moon: back to nature? Would be a possibility to reintroduce the mayor

These are just some ideas. I just felt like the game could need some more festivals (like hm:btn had like 18 or so festivals) and i haven't found any mods.

They will not show up in the calendar, but Custom NPC Nikolai mod is able to add a festival so I think it's something TMXL can do. Animal husbandry mod also has animal contest but it's npc event-based.
