1 year ago I had a similar idea for this with the Carpenter Family (Robin, Demetrius, Sebastian, and Maru), but I'm not up to that level of coding yet. Really hope some of the familial relationships could get fleshed out more.
I feel a bit sad that neither Caroline nor Pierre have much in the way of character development despite their relationship obviously not being particularly rosy: Pierre is caught up in ambition and making money and Caroline harks back nostalgically to her days of freedom pre marriage. And I thought it might be interesting to create a mod about them. I don't have time right now to do it myself, so I'm putting the idea out there if anyone wishes to work on a content pack (this could all be done with content patcher and maybe some Tiled knowledge) on what could be a fairly simple beginner project.
Would require reasonable number of hearts with both Pierre and Caroline. Maybe 6-8?
Caroline confides in the farmer that she misses the man she married: that Pierre is so caught up in his ambition that she feels he is slipping away from her. The farmer then has the option to tell Pierre of her concerns.
Pierre is initially angry at farmer for interfering but eventually concedes that maybe he is indeed becoming so caught up in his quest for wealth that he is becoming almost as full of corporate greed as JojaMart.
He vows to do something nice for his wife to show how much he appreciates her.
This could be set up as a picnic in the woods or a horseback riding expedition (good luck spriting that though!). Or even as simple as him cooking her dinner. It could result in a deep heartfelt discussion or even a fight.
Farmer could be consulted at various points along the way, or requested to supply various ingredients towards the dinner. Or even interfere to make it a disaster!
End result? I'll leave that up to the creator.
