Stardew Valley is starting to feel the effects of lowered demand of crops, be Governonr's Decree.. #508

The goal: To alert PC via mail that certain crops this season may be subject to increased levies. A mod that lowers the sell prices of a few randomly selected crop types each season and leaving others unchanged, encouraging players to meet current demands to turn profit. Here are the two frameworks that could be used?

After a bit more brainstorming,

This mod should be compatible with Pierre May Think Ahead by LenneDalben In Lenne's mod, specifically in the "Draylon Edition", "there's a randomness to a lot of aspects: it's not guaranteed Pierre will have all of the next season's seeds available, nor is it guaranteed that he'll have them in advance for the whole week (he could have them 22nd-28th, or only on some of those days). For example, he could have the Sunflowers seeds on the 22nd, but not the 23rd, and have the Blueberry seeds on the 23rd, but not the 22nd)." With that in mind, I'd like to create a mod that compliments the randomness by having our beloved (or not so much) Governor send a letter to PC on the 28th stating what crops will be levied for next season as stardew valley attempts to recover from the exit of Joja Corp (yes, this letter would only be sent out after CC completion and Joja has left town). What this mod will do is reduce the profit margins of a few crops each season by 50-75%, leaving the others at regular margin. There could be a cap set on how much on any one crop can be shipped, thereby limiting income during the late game. Eventually quests could be added that provide PC with opporunities to earn more through villagers requesting a cooked recipe out of the crops that were levied, or certain animal products. This is similar in theory to Longevity by RTGOAT, but without the hassle of all these taxes and fees. Also never made sense to me why Morris was collecting the taxes from my farm when I booted him out. :p
