Mining outposts spawn in an air bubble

Mining outposts are inspired by the small hideouts shown in the first preview of the deep dark/warden and in their overall desgin aren't supposed to be completely out in the open of the caves.

As far as I am aware, there's not a ton we can do about it, without half the outposts being completely buried and never seen

It just doesn't really make sense, you got support beams and defined wall/room shapes but its just air around it. It could be interesting as a way to find it to have random strip mining tunnels generating around it?
