Instead of generating a bar graph, when you select a crewmember for hire, it spews unreadable black text on the screen.

Yeah I've noticed the old bar graphs are missing too.

We've discussed this on discord. I want to separate CREW assignment from HIRING into two separate areas. Crew assignment should really be in the ship itself or in the shipyard dock instead of in a "starport room". The existing crew room will be changed to hiring only and the assignment portion of the module will be copied and refined in another area. I think it could be done from the Captain menu on the ship because the player might need to do that during gameplay anyway, like if they get a new crew member on a mission and want to assign them to a bridge station.

THAT was the first discussion! I want to take this in another direction where the player encounters companions (like in a BioWare game such as Baldur's Gate or Mass Effect). In which case, do we even need a crew hire room on the starport? For now, yes, but the crew can be replaced. If someone gets dismissed, it's assumed this will happen behind the scenes (they aren't ejected out of the airlock--lol).

Anyone have thoughts/suggestions about this?
