New Top Bar with extended Functions for Managing Save Files #137

What request or enhancement tip do you have?

At the moment you have one top bar with several mixed functionalities.
(see: http://savegamegx.net/gallery/index.html)

My proposal is to split up the top bar into several areas of functions.
Here a mock-up for clarification (attached files Mock2 or link):
http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/8891/mock2.jpg

Here you can see that I split up the top bar into the main functions.
The functions can be activated separately and independent.
The user has following function areas:
1. The device of containing save files (Sd, wii, combined view).
2. The kind of save files (save files or miis)
3. The presentation of files (grid or list)
4. Further options (like searching or protecting)
See attached file Mock3 or Link:
http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/8377/mock3.jpg

Furthermore I added a combined view (in function area 1), which was the root
cause for the request/enhancement. With a combined device view you can manage
the data between the SD card and the Wii easier. Especially if the user wants
to compare the files on the SD card with the Wii saves, this "combined view" is
more comfortable.
See attached file Mock1 or Link:
http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/1365/mock1w.jpg

In the Function area 1 the user has the possibility to choose between:
- SD Card, which leads the user to the save file folder on the SD Card (path
must be defined in the options menu)
- Wii, which contains the save data on the NAND
- Wii/SD, which is a combined view of both.

In future you can add also an USB link symbol into function area 1, so that the
user has the ability to exchange files between Wii, SD and USB.

The user has the possibility to change the savefile/mii view with Function area
2.
So either the save files or the miis of a certain device (function area 1) are
presented.

With Funciton Area 3, the user can choose if he wants a data list or an icon
grid.

All in all this enhanced Top Bar adds several possibilities for the user and
for future functionalities.

Great Suggestion starlord :D

Next step could be remplace WiiExplorer ^^ to manage Real NAND (Mii & Save
Data), SD, USB, Virtual NAND

How about a spin-dock in place of the tool-bar?

i change the status to "Done" cause i've already modified the toolbar and don't
think to add a dual browser.
