Stack dump when choosing Wii button inside app #92

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open app through HBC 1.08 (with IOS58 v24.31).
2. Click button 'Wii'.
3. Check Stack dump and after 20 seconds, it returns to HBC.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I was expecting to be able to return to System Menu, HBC...

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
SaveGame Manager GX r100

Please provide any additional information below.

Same thing happened again. Stack dump contents is NOT 100% equal. Do you need a
picture of it?

please send a picture.
it's happening when you push the home button or the wii button?

Here's the picture of the exact button I push before the stack dump, and then
the stack picture.

Can the cIOS used influence this somehow? Still using Waninkoko rev17 base38 in
slot 249.

Btw, do you know why it looks like the app image is cut around? It looks like
the screen is too big to my TV or the opposite...

Original comment by dj_sk...@hotmail.com on 19 May 2011 at 10:10

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago

screensize...

Changed both app and Wii settings to screentype 4/3 and it looks a bit better...

Can I help with anything else regarding the stack dump thing? If you need me to
test anything, let me know...

Same issue. I tried changing the settings to use IOS58 instead and dump again.

Any idea of what it can be, so I can run more tests? USB drive?

perhaps you have lot of files in your savegame folder, perhaps on the way to
find the problem.
please, just remove the configfile, to set default, and remove lot of saves
from your folder, i've actually 68 saves in the folder and experience code dump
too.
thx to report if it solve the load problem.

I tried extracting a single Mii and a single savegame to the default
directories and now the app NOT ALWAYS shows dump, sometimes it shows Homebrew
Launcher...

Original comment by pplu...@gmail.com on 23 May 2011 at 12:12

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Try the following: delete folders savegames and savemiis. Without these, I was
always getting code dump.

Extracted one game to savegames folder, still code dump.
Extracted one Mii to savemiis folder, still code dump.

Entered again, now the first time it doesn't show code dump. If you go back and
push the button again, code dump again.

Maybe this way you can reproduce the dumps...

perhaps you could try with font.ttf inside the app folder (i mean
Complte_font.ttf) and lot of save in your folder to see

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Tried that just now and still no luck...

When I'm extracting several Savegames in a row to the default dir, sometimes
the app freezes and Wii needs to be restarted manually...
