[10:09 AM] Thundercläsh: Mechanic workstation - when I put more storage boxes, he outputs the "Spring" item in all of them, duping them [10:09 AM] Thundercläsh: Mainly when putting storage below the station [10:18 AM] Xyth: So when he make a storage box that box has a spring in it? [10:19 AM] Thundercläsh: Yep [10:19 AM] Thundercläsh: Empty box below the station [10:19 AM] Thundercläsh: Duplication

I tried this on US-PVP. It doesn't seem to duplicate, but makes multiple items per cycle, consuming resources for each. Get 1 steel bar in each box, but use up 20 scrap steel per cycle. Still a bug, but not free stuff.. more like a haste buff.

I can confirm that it is even worse than this. We are having dual smiths, dual mechanics and dual cooks with many storage boxes and fridges on Day 529 on our server. The fact that they are more than one in the same area makes it worse.

Right now the smiths managed to fill one of their storage boxes with stacks of 50 Metal Frames in a few hours. The cooks have duped their Corn Meal so they got over 8000 of it now.

As you can see this is breaking the economics totally.

Also having Mechanic too close to Smith is bugging the Mechanic so it dont want to make things even with correct materials in his box.

Another dupe today, the mechs are different level and its not very clear which storage box they each use, or if they use the same one. So the lowest level one I had making Bullet Tips and I put 1k lead and 2k clay in each of the two storage boxes. After a minute one of the boxes had 8k lead and 16k clay (no bullet tips tho).

I have been able to reproduce this - up to a point and it only seems to be an issue if you put the two stations literally right up against each other, I don't doubt that that confuses the NPC who has no way to determine which storage box is which. Is there a way we can just make it so neither will work at all unless XX blocks from another station or that they cannot be put down at all unless far enough away. The second would be better as people will complain that they did not know that 'too close' would keep them from working when they put them down on top of each other and its our fault they now have to pick it up and move it. If they can't place it down because its too close then they can't compain
