Vertiv has developed a taxonomy of four archetypal use cases for edge computing ("edge archetypes") and has offered to contribute them to the Open Glossary.

Below are materials we can draw upon when crafting the glossary entries.

In my view these 4 "Archetype"-s are only 4 use cases out of the many sharing different properties of different edge clouds. I would not say that there are only these 4 type of edge clouds exist, therefore I would not add them to a Glossary, but I would contribute them to OpenStack ECG use cases.

Between the following existing glossary entries, I think the key aspects of these archetypes are covered: Edge-enhanced applications Edge-native applications Latency-critical applications Latency-sensitive applications With this in mind I suggest not adding these to the glossary.
