I would be capable and interested in teaching students about Git and also different version control systems, like GitHub or GitLab. How the tools are used for collaboration, code development, best practices, etc.

Amy and Max have asked if there is anyone wanting to come do some Git basics with the students:
- Whats Git / why use Git
- Basic functions / terms
- Walk through a real world example
- i'd like this also stored in this project for future work if possible

Is this the same issue as Git Process/Procedures for classes issue?

Catching up on content from last year. This issue is related to an educational walkthrough for students. The other issue is a discussion about how we want students to contribute each year. For example, if students themselves contribute to the code, should they Clone the repo? Fork it? What if other organizations adopt the project... how would they use the code? That being the case, I think it's safe to keep both issues open.
