4 me it worked perefectly, did y tried reinstalling the SGDB? And maybe the steam client itself
I have the same issue on windows 10. It seems it only changes the icon but nothing more. I'm adding the non steam game with UWPHook, and changing the assets with SGDBoop.
Steam is non beta client, SGDBoop just installed

I'm having the exact same issues here.
I've tried fresh install of SGDBoop and changed it's location. I've also ensured it's run as admin
sgdb://boop/test works fine.
normal steal games working fine, just not the non steam ones

actually... seems to be isolated to xbox game pass games?
Same problem. It would be nice to hear if this is an actual issue that the developer can replicate or is something else.
Same problem. Added Prince of Persia The Lost Crown from Ubisoft Connect launcher to Steam, tried to change any artwork with Boop - same errors all around
OK, I've since found it's related to filesizes of the downloads.
when you click the boop icon, if you wait until the loading animation has finished, and then select the game to apply to, it should then work OK,
I've tested this a few times and seems to be working... it's not ideal and there's obviously something going wrong somewhere, but it does kinda work
this is still happening with me. It happens with any game that i have. it might have to do with some of my games being installed on a passport, but idk, it seems to happen with non-passport games as well.
When the non steam game boop button is pressed, a command window appears for a brief second and then closes. No log or error is produced.
