I am not sure if making a switch is possible, but making versions with different styles including dark themes was initially planned indeed. But currently, due to the tiny numbers of actual readers and as a result from some unfriendly comments from the Nim core team, my motivation to doing some Nim related work is not that big. But whenever we should decide to sell the book, we will provide various skins, including PDF and EPub. For at least a few hundred customers that would make some sense. I don't know you, your real name or your contributions to FOSS or charity projects like Unicef, so the chances that I will do a dark theme just for you may be not that great. But you can do it yourself, the command to generate the HTML from adoc source is just "asciidoctor -a stylesheet=adoc.css nimprogramming.adoc" and you can find dark skins at https://github.com/darshandsoni/asciidoctor-skins and maybe more with Google.
Actually, you may also try Firefox add-ons like https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/dark-background-light-text/
ok, thanks. I'll leave the FR for you to close or leave open.
https://nimprogrammingbook.com/ has a few dark themes now. The themes are from https://github.com/darshandsoni/asciidoctor-skins and not really of high quality. But I do not intent to create themes myself, sorry.
hi,
It would be nice if this had a button/switch for a dark themed version.
thanks, ITwrx
