Hi, we are multiple gamer playing Mutant zero in different places at the same time. It would be excellent if there would be an easy way to push the actual map to all players. Would it be possible to use json data as url param? Or maybe allow at least to open an URL instead of a file only while loading json data?

Would be great. Thanks brian

Hi @btanner2,

It's not possible any time soon. And I think there is too much data to parse the json into an uri.

I'm using the free software ShareX to take screenshots on the fly and share them automatically with my playgroup. Windows has also a similar "Snipping Tool".

Hi,

Thanks for the fast answer. I understand your point. Unfortunately, screenshots does not have the same “look and feel” like playing live on your great map.

Would it be possible instead, to add a remote file opening dialog? This would open a file from a remote address. This could be done additionally to the local file opening dialogue.

Or maybe a plain text field, where the json code could be paste in?

It is a bit troublesome to download a file and reopen it with your website.

Any chance for that?

Thanks brian

Hi Brian,

I'm afraid this is not possible. I don't have the opportunity to develop this free project at the moment. I'm currently busy on other projects (like the Year Zero Discord bot and a Foundry VTT module) that have a greater importance.

The MYZ Zonemap's code is also very old. Any change would require a complete rewriting. But I'm still maintaining the Zonemap working until I can get back to it.

Allright, thanks anyway. It is still a great project and it makes a lot of fun using ist. Just want to say :)

Thanks for your kind words!

@btanner2 I would suggest using screen sharing (zoom/team/hangout) or something similar. Should work right?
