telescope not slewing to correct target coordinates #1897

Open GernotSchreider opened 3 years ago

GernotSchreider commented 3 years ago

Expected Behaviour

when connected to a telescope and using the telescope control the slew command should move the telescope to the coordinates of the selected object in Stellarium

Actual Behaviour

the telescop is moved to nearby coordinates but is off significantly, see image showing the selected objects and its coordinates in Stellarium and the actual coordinates shown by EQMOD

Does that indicate you solved your previous issue (#1896)? I you see differences of a few arcminutes, check J2000 vs. ofDate coordinate settings (see User Guide for details).

GernotSchreider commented 3 years ago

no, this is a separate issue I did secure that both mount and Stellarium were set to J2000, adding screenshots to show this

I am running ASCOM 6.4 SP1 and use POTH Hub to connect the mount.
