No Mouse Cursor with AMD Radeon RX6600XT installed, program opens with AMD Radeon software with a prompt for Alt-R #3578

Good day I did a quick search for this, but was unable to find it being reported before, and there was nothing in the guide for it. I hadn't opened Stellarium for a while. I've installed an AMD Radeon RX6600XT video card. When I opened up Stellarium, my AMD software opened and I had no mouse pointer. The screen says to use 'Alt-R' but if I do, I still get no cursor, although the AMD screen is either put behind Stellarium, or I can also make it smaller, but not off the main screen. I could run the mouse around on the screen and while I didn't see the cursor, I could tell when it went over icons. I tried to change the size of the window to drag it to my second monitor to test it there, but was unable to figure out where the cursor was to grab the window, and that included the lower left hand corner of the screen. AMD software is up to date with the latest driver, and I have an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G CPU and 32 gigs of RAM. I was running Stellarium 11, but have updated to 23.x and the problem still exists

Any help that you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. I love Stellarium and what it can do, and I also have it on a laptop, so I can use it there, but I'd like to be able to use it on my main computer with the larger screens.

           Thank you!  I am still getting the AMD software prompt, but switching off the Mouse/Pointer trails did indeed allow me to have my mouse pointer show up in Stellarium.  The AMD prompt then disappears within a few seconds.

           So, yes, that was the problem and I thank you for your quick reply and accurate answer.
