Lost watchfaces #102

I don't have xDrip. I do have a Galaxy S8 and an ASUS Zenwatch 2 which are paired and work fine. I have the Android Wear app and it's working fine. I just can't get the NW watch faces. I've deleted and re-downloaded the Nightwatch app a number of times. But, I still can't get my Nightwatch faces on my watch anymore. I can use the widget just fine. ...But, no watch faces anymore.

Backstory: I had a phone issue and needed to do a factory reset. I couldn't get the watch face to work anymore once I did the reset. So, I did a factory reset on my watch, as well. Ever since then, the watch faces are gone. Re-installing the app doesn't bring them back.

Suggestions?

What AndroidWear version is on the watch? If it is 2.0, you need to install the watch app vie the play store on the watch itself from the category "apps on the phone" or similar.

@AdrianLxM , Build number: NWD1.170707.001 - it's telling me the Android version is up to date.

No matter what I do, the watch faces don't come back. 👎 I've uninstalled the app and re-installed it a number of times. But, it doesn't change. :'(

It is not in the play store?

tylerwilson317 commented 6 years ago

@AdrianLxM , no.

tylerwilson317 commented 6 years ago

I still can't get the faces on my watch. 👎 IDK what to do.

Apologies if this is telling you what you already know, but in case...

I wasn't sure if you meant that you have been able to download the Nightwatch app onto your phone successfully, or onto your watch? Download onto your phone is via GitHub, while onto the watch is via the watch's Play Store. I found that there was a couple of hours delay between the app being installed onto my phone via GitHub, before it would appear in my watch's list of 'Apps on your phone'. I'm not sure why. I suggest if you can't get this to work, try re-setting your watch again, re-linking it with your phone, and waiting a few hours. If you're able to see other apps in the 'Apps on your phone' list, then Nightwatch should appear there with them.

If you can get the app installed on the watch, holding and swiping to the right to change the watchface brings up the different Nightwatch choices for me. Beyond that, I'm not sure what else to suggest. Good luck!

I have a Galaxy S5 and a Zenwatch 2. Everything worked awesome for months until a couple days ago and the watch stopped syncing with the phone (all my other watch apps were syncing fine). I tried various things over a few days, until I finally I uninstalled Nightscout from my phone and watch, and rebooted the watch. I reinstalled the latest nightwatch apk to my phone and yes, it does show up in the watch's playstore under phone apps, but every time I click it, it says it "cannot download" or it says it's downloading (for hours) and then the watch crashes and reboots. Any ideas what to try next? Was there a watch update that ruined everything? :(
