Galaxy s8 dexcom g4 not connecting #195

So, I have a galaxy s8. I also have the dexcom g4. I have downloaded the xdrip+ I have followed the get starting guide to the letter I don't know how many times. Verified the serial number multiple times. When I scan for bluetooth and set the dex to share, the xdrip sees the dexcom and attempts to pair. I can start the sensor and wait. It never connects (system status always shows disconnected) I can go through the motions of forgetting the device on the phone and then on the dex. try to pair again and the same thing happens. The dex will flash the bluetooth symbol but no data... Help as I am about to throw this app in the trash.
