I/O needs cleaned up #165

The I/O R/W handlers need cleaned up. I did this (somewhat) on GameYob-Accurate and got a small speed boost. I recommend you do the same. I can start a pull request if you wish.

My fork is currently busted due to unknown ICE. Will start PR when I figure out how to fix it.
