THEORETICALLY this might work, but different IR devices may use different IR bands and the GBC was very particular about IR so it may just refuse to work or it could receive the wrong bits first or...
it's stupid difficult to link up 2 GBCs with IR, much less a GBC and something else it wasn't made for...
