Test it with the latest SPU2-X. Posting hello?? omg and stuff like this doesn't
help
us at all. if you want this get fixed, start testing with different
settings,builds
etc to track it.

I have tested the game with different settings of SPU2-X i tried even NULL sound
mode, still same. doesn't look like it's SPU plugin who halts the game. the last
message in the console is
"microVU1: Cached MicroPrograms = [000] [PC=0000] [List=01] (Cache = 0.000000%)"
SPU2-X is the latest SVN Build 2821. do we have tutorial how to test the games.
I
want to go deeper.

Tested this myself. PCSX2 r2819, SPU2-X r2737, GSdx r2754.
Seems like either a timing issue, interrupt issue or something unknown. Using
interpreter in all EE,IOP and VUs yielded this log:
*** Main SPU Memory Chunk: 19472 out of 1603568 bytes ***
padman: *** VBLANK OVERLAP ***

With the last message looping. Looks SPU2 related

I'm working on a patch for this game but I'm getting trouble cause I don't
really know how to do this correctly, got it ingame by skipping the vsync and
it's without sound/memcards and i bet it's pwetty broken so far, I'll see if i
can make it better :p

as far as i know nothing that gave me that "decode MPEG2" message then "decode
thread: aborted" ever worked .

i never understood why people are wasting time playing games on emulators that
are on pc too...example gta vice city right here other example max payne and
max payne 2 and so on...you'll get way better graphics and performance in the
pc version...

Yeah! Its weird how people will do dumb things we can't understand. For
example, I never understood why people come to emulator forums and bitch about
people who are trying to use it to emulate games. Example, GTA Vice City is a
PS2 game that definitely works on a PS2, so its pretty logical to expect it to
work on a PS2 emulator, or to expect that problems the game exhibit could be
relevant to overall emulation accuracy.

Let alone nostalgia.
If I want to play my old copy of Suikoden, I need to dust off my PS2. Or use
PCSX2 ;)

Re:->"bloodind...@yahoo.com" the aim of the project is to emulate PS2, as
precise as possible. One bug in any particular game can affect many others, so
fixing it can't be considered as a waste of time.

There's some progress since SPU2-X r4055, now it can finish that loop it was
stuck on if you wait long enough (2-5 mins here) but it's sorta randomly and
not easy to know when it will go ingame. Once it's in it's stable tho and only
shows the same kind of loop when trying to change the sound from Stereo to DTS.

I also found some ways to speedup getting inside, frame limiter off, EE cycle
speedhack + wait loop, SkipMPEGhack, Pad 2 set to "unplugged" in lilypad, using
some memcards. The same that works for my USA 1.6 bios doesn't work for EU 2.2
one and probably won't work with others either, it's all very random but I
found a combination that guarantees going in each time after just a couple
loops on my end... at least there's a chance to get in fast...

This patch also goes in everytime but removes sound for it (SLUS 20552 version).
