Probably better to make this impossible than to fix it - the arrange of a non-node should be a syntax error - but, ... jeez.
I expect the -1 is probably the return from a javascript find that failed, being used as the label for a node which applies because it was implicitly generated for the label to a node which is otherwise nowhere in the graph
