Unit 1 is very well organized and very fun to read. For example, on page 9, regarding resource poor languages as the second-class citizens in NLP is interesting.
Yet I find two places a little bit confused.
On page 6, The definitions of NLP and computational linguistics are described. Maybe you can also mention what this book will focus more on. For instance, "most parts of this book will focus on computational linguistics/ NLP more" or "chapter x to x is more on NLP", so as to give the readers a general idea of the arrangement of this book.
At the beginning of 2.2, there is a superscript 2 after the word "computational". Could the explanation of the superscript 2 be mentioned more here?
