HDD LED control #6

Running unRAID's QNAP-EC plugin. I was wondering if this QNAP plugin would be able to control the HDD LED's at any point. My TS-873A when drives are in sleep continuously blink each HDD LED at the same time. When a HDD is in use, the LED to that HDD stays solid.

I had hoped if anything you'd get: HDD LED off: Disks sleeping HDD LED blinking: Disk is in use HDD LED solid: (Not sure, online but not in use?)

If any idea's I'd be happy to give it a try.

Sorry for the late response. It would all depend on whether the closed source QNAP library that QNAP-EC leverages has this ability. I don't recall seeing anything related to hard drive LEDs being available though. Would you know if the native QNAP OS has any functionality to modify hard drive LED behavior? If it doesn't then most likely their library doesn't either (why add it in the library if your final product doesn't use it) which means QNAP-EC wouldn't be able to control the hard drive LEDs.

Thanks for taking a look ^_^

Someone on github has managed to do this but I can't understand how that could translate over to unRAID. I could boot up the original QNAP OS on TS-873A instead of unRAID if any files are needed or if there's any desire to poke around shell and monitor LED status. Just would need to know the recommended commands to try.
