Mechanics at 7 is a good idea, problem is getting there. There's like 6 books to make and then 2 different papers that have no use till mechanic unlock, that's it. Cant do advanced upgrades since it needs mechanics and a lab, and can't do the lanterns or printing supplies since it needs mechanic. So you have to grind 100's of papers that have no use till mechanic unlock
