Electric water pump runs when there is no demand #11836

The electric water pump is always on regardless of demand. It will drain a steam engine of fuel when nothing is being crafted in a Blast furnace etc.

Not sure if this intended behaviour however machines and the waste filter only output fluids when there is demand.

This happens when the flow is insufficient, otherwise you get an on/off scenario. Is that what youre seeing?

This one is complicated to fix. Sometimes the Electric Water Pump is being used for just a Blast Furnace, but sometimes it is used to power a Combustion Generator so if it shuts off it can't turn back on.
