Changing color of clothes resets skin color #21738

Discord Report: I don't know if this was reported. Everytime I edit the color of cloths and click the save, the shade of my skin "resets" (the slider goes full left)

Just tested this out on 9.3.3-beta-release-219 and the skin tone does not reset upon changing the clothes colour and then clicking save.

I had this happen to me once on 9.2.4. I was running around several days with dark skin and had no idea until someone pointed it out to me. Unfortunately I couldn't remember exactly what it was I did so I wasn't wasn't able to reproduce it again. It had to have been some combination of changing the clothes colours as that was one of the things I did, but it's also the only option that's even available to change.

Ah sorry @Ry4ndrew I forget the full build number is useful and can get a bit lazy when typing out the full thing. Anyway it would of been 0.9.2.4 beta release-156

Can confirm it's happening, tested on 0.9.3.4 Release-226.

What's happening actually has nothing to do with changing the color of the clothes. If you open the UI where you can edit the avatar while in 3rd person view, the slider for the skin already positioned itself at the far most left. Because of this, players won't simply notice it right away as they want to edit the color of the clothes. So upon saving, the color of the skin changes as well.

To Reproduce

  1. Change camera view to 3rd person.
  2. Press B and click Edit to open the Avatar Edit UI.
  3. Observe the sliders.
  4. Change the color of the avatar's clothes.
  5. Observe.
